Shadowing Opportunities

M1–M2 Shadowing

M1 or M2 students interested in shadowing, please contact alexa.rosswog@vcuhealth.org to learn of available options. The process below is NOT required. 

Pre-Medical Students

1. Observers must be 16 years or older. A parent/guardian signature is required for observers under 18 years of age.
2. You are required to be cleared by the Health System and obtain a VCU Observer identification (observer.program@vcuhealth) PRIOR to shadowing.
3. Email alexa.rosswog@vcuhealth.org to connect with available faculty. 

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Allow two weeks for email replies.
• Given the number of interested students, we do not offer longitudinal shadowing experiences. 
• We recognize the value of the shadowing experiences, but to provide an adequate educational experience for medical students and residents currently rotating, shadowing opportunities  may be limited. We discourage blast emails to individual providers.   We encourage you to reach out to providers in other departments for opportunities if you cannot find availability within the ENT department.
